Oleksiy Kovalev

Oleksiy Kovalev was born in June 1960 in the city of Nizhny Tagil in the family of a military designer. At the age of 15, he moved to Kyiv. He graduated from the institute with a degree in ACS (automated control system) engineer, joined the army, and in 1987 received a second higher education. In 2007-2008, he studied MBA at the Kyiv-Mohylyanka Business School. He worked as a designer at the state-owned enterprise “Antonov” , in the design center of the tank industry, was a production manager at the KISPO joint-stock company.
Oleksiy Kovalev is the co-founder and director of the ELO company, and since 2001 – the chairman of the board of limited liability company (LLC) “Poligrafist”. He also founded the specialized magazines “Paper and Life”, “Polymery Groshi”, the club of importers of pulp and paper products. Oleksiy is a co-founder of the public organization “Ukrpapir”, the initiator of several draft laws on optimizing the import of pulp and paper products into Ukraine.
